Jamie’s Wine of the Week 9/8/20

BRACK MOUNTAIN WINE CO. BARRIQUE CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2017
Brack Mountain Wine Company’s motto is to “Make artisanal wines accessible to all”. This is why Brack Mountain decided to source the fruit for their signature Cab from Sonoma. Just west of Napa, Sonoma benefits from the coastal influence of the Pacific and often offers incredible value within the Cabernet category. Barrique Cabernet is sourced from two important AVA’s within Sonoma: Dry Creek Valley and Knights Valley. The combination of fruit from these two very different sites creates a wine with incredible depth of flavor and complexity. Aged in French oak for 18 months, Barrique’s dark berry-filled palate is framed by sweet spice nuances and velvety tannins. Accompany a glass of Barrique Cabernet with blue cheese burgers, pan-roasted veal chops with red wine sauce, or a classic grilled steak. Cheers!
