Cimarron Tequila for Cinco de Mayo!

Cinco de Mayo is the yearly celebration held on May 5 to celebrate Mexico’s victory
over the second French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. The celebration is much
more popular in the United States than in Mexico. Puebla, the city where the battle took
place, is the only place in Mexico that really celebrates Cinco De Mayo. In the U.S. you
can trace celebrations back to Columbia, California, where they have been celebrating
since 1862. More recently in America Cinco De Mayo has been viewed as a celebration
of Mexican American culture.
For Cinco let’s celebrate the national drink of Mexico, Tequila. Let’s talk about a great
budget friendly tequila that will suit all your tequila needs, Cimarron. Cimarron comes
from Nom 1146. Nom 1146 produces some giants in the tequila game such as
Fuenteseca, Don Fulano, and Tears of Llorona. This certified additive free tequila is
cooked in a low-pressure, slow agave roast creating bright, forward flavor, and
fermentation is entirely natural using winemakers’ yeast. Bottled at 80 proof you will find
notes of agave, pepper, citrus, and earthiness.
