Breckenridge Irish Nitro Stout
Well, it’s that time of year again where Irish beers are flowing, so this will be about one of our
very own local breweries that churns out a banger every year. Breckenridge Brewery’s Irish
Nitro Stout is one of the better Irish Nitro beers in the market. Once you pour it hard it into a
glass, and I mean, really pour it hard because that’s how it should be poured, the aromas that
waft out of the glass are of oatmeal flakes. Once the beer settles the head is around ¼ of an
inch thick. On first taste, it has the body reminiscent of an old-school Guinness, you know when
they were still making that beer in Ireland. It coats the tongue wholly and has the deep body
taste that a stout should have with no adjuncts. The finish to this taste is somewhat familiar to
an ESB. Not as bitter, but hints of the bitterness linger leaving the mouth wanting another sip.
This will be my go-to for this festive St. Patrick’s Day festivities. Slainte!!!!
