It may only be August, but the first round of beers for Oktoberfest (which actually takes place mostly in September, despite the name) are starting to roll in. One of the first to hit our shelves is Odell Brewing Co’s Colorado spin on the classic German Märzen beer. It pours a hearty, autumnal burnt orange color and doesn’t retain much of a head. But that just means there’s less to get in the way of you enjoying sweet, refreshing malts with notes of maple and honey, balanced out by a dry and spicy nip of crisp hops on the back end. It’s never too early to start getting in the spirit for the world’s biggest celebration of our favorite beverage!
