Superior’s Beer Blog of the Week

Tivoli Brewing Company

German-style, unfiltered wheat beers are one of the first things I reach for when the weather starts getting warmer, and Tivoli in Denver has a Mile High Hef that brings an uncommon crispness to the style. It pours a familiar wheat-blonde with plenty of frosty white bubbles. The nose is hearty with banana bread and a hint of spices. Hefeweizen fans might find themselves a bit surprised, though, because this brew is cloudy but very light in body. The taste is refreshing and slightly nutty, with a touch of fresh whole wheat flour. It wraps up with a clean finish and a lingering hint of malt sweetness. Bring a little brightness to your week!
