If you’re not familiar with the German Scwarzbier style, imagine you combined the roastiness of a stout with the crushability of a European lager. Schwibby Schwarz from Wibby Brewing in Longmont is a great way to get acquainted. This 5.4% ABV brew pours a dark mahogany color with just a bit of creamy foam at the top. The nose is surprisingly complex, like a campfire sprinkled with dark chocolate and cherries.
