Maison Phillipe Vaillet
Vin de Savoie Blanc 2018
Regular Price: $15.99
Sale Price: $11.99

The story begins in Savoie, Apremont in 1966, when Marcel and Yvonne Vaillet purchased the small vineyard of Domaine Clos Reserve. With the dream of building the family business, their second son, Phillipe Vaillet studied winemaking in Beaune and joined the team after graduating in 1984. By 1985 Phillipe had founded Maison Phillipe Vaillet and sought out the acquisition of estates across the Savoie and Jura wine regions. His eye for marketing and passion for showcasing the wonderful national varietals that Savoy has to offer sets the perfect scene for very affordable, high quality wines. This Savoie Blanc 2018 is comprised of 40% Jacquère, 20% Altesse, 20% Chasselas, 20% Chardonnay and a smooth operator from the bottle to the palate. The bouquet from the glass is clean and zesty with quenching fruit and hints of honey. The flavor is refreshing, mineral driven and perfect for a warm day. A wine pairs nicely with all sorts of tapas and lighter fish dishes.
