It is feeling more and more like rosé season with each passing seventy degree day we are enjoying this week and I just had to pick up a bottle of this Domaine Lafond Tavel Rosé 2017 this time around. Tavel wines are all rosé and only from this little growing AOC across the Rhone river from Chateauneuf-du-Pape. There is a great roundness to the body of this particular rosé that is bright with strawberry, melon and easy spices. These fruity aromas are mellowed out by great structure and complexity on the palate with a reserved amount of acidity that makes the wine heavy enough for some light BBQ on one of these cooler evenings. Domnaine Lafond is a family owned vineyard that has been passed down from father to son, they are organically certified and absolutely hit the mark with this beautiful rosé! -Cheers
