Maquis Carménère 2016

Normal Price:$18.99

Sale Price:$15.99

The Hurtado family strategically planted their Maquis vineyard, which has been family-owned for over a century, with the Tinguiririca River on one side and the Chimbarongo Creek on the other. Nestled between these two bodies of water, the vines benefit from a local set of atmospheric conditions that are ideal for premium Carménère production. With the expert blending talents of Eric Boissenot, who also works with multiple first growths in Bordeaux, Maquis wines exude power and elegance. Leading with aromas of black raspberry, plum, blackberry, and clove the palate is dense with dark fruit, herbs, and baking spices with fine tannins and hints of cocoa on the lingering finish. A wine that begs to be paired with BBQ, Maquis Carménère will also elevate an assortment of soft cheeses such as goat cheese or Mozzarella.
Cheers!
