This week’s food pick is an exceptional line of flavor infused goat cheeses with groovy names and far out flavors. Cypress Grove dairy farms from California opened its doors in 1983 by Mary Keehn, a self-proclaimed “serious hippie,” who traveled abroad to France to learn the art of cheesemaking from the masters themselves. Upon her arrival home it was clear she was inspired to create unique flavor combinations with fresh goat cheeses that were suited for the adventurous palate. With cheeses as Sgt. Pepper, a combination of exotic spices and Purple Haze made with lavender and fennel, these cheeses are sure to awaken the taste buds. Usually $6.99 per 4oz disc, both flavors will be on sale this week for $5.99, and be sure to swing by the store this Thursday afternoon from 3-5 to taste them for yourself. Cheers and Bon Appetit!
