I have been a long-time fan of Duckhorn wines in general and I just love their Napa line and single vineyard wines. They literally reached the top of the list with their Three Palms Merlot 2014 landing in the number one spot on Wine Spectator’s Top 100 list of 2017. While these wines are all so amazing it is not often that the budget allows for $35+ wines for dinner. This is where the Decoy line from Duckhorn comes in to play! More of an entry level price point for fantastic wines that deliver much more than a glimmer of what Duckhorn has to offer. This Decoy Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 is a complete bottle of Cab with all the bells and whistles. Rich and robust with great dark fruit, supported by healthy tannin and a long finish. This wine would be perfect with a hearty red chili and fresh-from-the-oven cornbread. Cheers!
