303 Main Street Lyons, Co 80540

Located in Lyons, Colorado, Oskar Blues may be slightly off the beaten path but they bring an amazing southern style menu to the table and have a passion for brewing fantastic beer. These are just a couple of reasons not to miss visiting this Rocky Mountain Gem!!

If it isn't the great beer and food that bring you out the Oskar Blues, put your dancing shoes on and enjoy their live music every Friday and Saturday night. An atmosphere that only Rolling Stone Magazine could call the hottest place to be on a Saturday night in Colorado.

In 2002 Oskar Blues became the first US microbrewery to brew and can their own beer. Putting the myth to rest that canned beer affects the flavor and reduces shelf life. The modern-day aluminum can is lined with a water-based coating also, the keeps out light and minimizes the amount of oxygen which helps the beer stay fresh longer!

The basement music room has been presenting a wide range of acts since 1997. You name it...Blues, Rock, Bluegrass, Folk, Americana and even the Lyons High school Jazz Band!! The intimate, 100-person capacity gets you up-close and personal with the best musicians in Colorado as well as from around the US.

Dale's Pale Ale

The flagship and America's first hand-canned brew is up front and aggressive but very well balanced. Falling between an American pale ale and an India pale ale, Dale's Pale Ale is brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and American hops. A perfect everyday beer for any true hop-head.

Old Chub Scottish Style Ale

Old Chub is a Scottish strong ale brewed with hearty amounts of seven different malts and bit of US and UK hops. Also adding to its unmistakable flavor, Old Chub has beechwood-smoked grains imported from Bamburg, Germany.

"Lots of caramel, a bit of chocolate, roasted malts, smoke....and a nice creamy mouth feel. Beer this good shouldn't come from a can. I like it." www.ratebeer.com

Gordon. IPA

Gordon is a hybrid version of strong ale, between an Imperial Red and a Double IPA. Made with six different malts and three types of hops Gordon is a very assertive strong ale, rounded off with a bit of chocolate malt that balances this big guy out well.
Brewed in tribute to the late Gordon Knight, who helped open some of Colorado's first microbreweries and was a Vietnam vet. Knight lost his life in 2002 while fighting a wildfire outside of Lyons, Colorado.
