Anderson Valley Summer Solstice Cerveza Crema 5.6% ABV Regularly 9.99 Sale 8.29 Now that the summer days are coming to an end I chose to feature a beer that will allow us all to enjoy the last few rays of the season. Anderson Valley's Summer Solstice is a refreshing take on beer. Its deep amber color is complimented by a thick and creamy foam. The sweet scent of vanilla and caramel is followed by the rich smell of melted milk chocolate that quickly stimulates the tastebuds. The crisp lager taste is followed by a sweet subtleness and a creamy satisfying finish. Do yourself a favor and don't let summer slip away just yet, and don't forget to drink this one extra cold. - Cody Posted in: NoneView / Add Comment | 0 Comment(s) | Rating: 0 of 5 | Share: Twitter, Facebook, Google +Cody's beer of the week 8/18/10August 21st, 2010 2:19pm - Posted By: Cody Flanagan
Stone Cali-Belgique 22oz. 6.9% A.B.V. Regularly $7.49 Sale $6.49 This experimental brew brought to us by the brilliant minds at Stone Brewing Company is a combination of your traditional IPA with a Belgian twist to it. Its deep golden color burns red when you hold it up to the light and though the head of the beer is rather light the color of the pearly white bubbles completes the look of this beer. On the nose you get the overwhelming combination of hops and that funky scent of yeast with subtle fruit and spices. The taste starts off with floral hop flavors and is immediately followed by the sweet taste of belgian yeast with lingering notes of copper, but a finish that leaves you with an orange peel residue taste on the tongue. So, if you're getting a little bored with either your everday IPA or your everyday Belgian why not drink both at the same time! :) cheers - Cody Posted in: NoneView / Add Comment | 0 Comment(s) | Rating: 0 of 5 | Share: Twitter, Facebook, Google + |
