Odell Brewing Co. Isolation Ale 6.1% A.B.V.

Each year, for some reason, these Colorado winters always seem to catch me off gaurd. I'm never sure why, but I suppose it's a blessing, because when the first snow of the year falls it's a pleasant reminder that it's time to enjoy an ambundance of tasty winter warmers. Isolation Ale, a delicous English strong ale produced by Odell Brewing Co., is an excellent representation of what a winter warmer should be. Isolation shimmers a rich copper color that is wonderfully clear with a light dusting of pearly white bubbles that float delicately atop the surface. The aroma of cinnamon and sugar are complimented beautifully by the subtle hint of damp soil with lingering notes of copper and dried fruits. The mouth feel is rich and pleasing with just a bit of carbonation that awakens the tastebuds to wonderful flavors of cinnamon, sugar, spice, and a delicious finish complete with toasted malts and dates. The alcohol content is understated but is just present enought to warm the throat. One of my favorite choices to enjoy by the fire when the snow is falling outside. Take some time this season to relax, put your feet up and enjoy some Isolation. Cheers! -Cody
